One van in 2009. Fourteen now.
Marcus Reyes started Brightside after twenty years of watching homeowners get surprised by the bill. The rule hasn’t changed since the first van: the price on the ticket is the price you pay.
Why we price before we touch anything
Most bad experiences with a tradesperson start the same way. Someone arrives, gets to work, and the number only shows up once the job is done.
So we flipped it. Every Brightside job runs on a three-part service order. The tech diagnoses the problem, writes a fixed price on the ticket and waits for your signature before any work starts. If the job turns out bigger than expected, you get a new ticket and a new choice.
It costs us the odd job. It also means most of our work comes from neighbours who were there the first time.
